to the One Who Sold Himself to Illusion

When I know your truth, I don’t tell you.
I let your actions reveal your nature, who you are,
and I disappear completely from your sight,
just as the truth has disappeared from yours.
You have no idea how much sorrow I feel for you.
You’re hurting yourself by following an illusion,
that illusion that adorned itself before you,
it knows well that if it ever showed its real face,
you would abandon it instantly.
I see you delighting in its company,
chanting forgetfulness to your own past.
Simple, it would be easy for me not to care about you.
Yet my task is to annihilate illusion.
My issue isn’t with you,
a mind that’s been numbed and sedated,
my true confrontation is with the illusion that numbed you.
We never forbid minds from wandering the streets,
but we forbid narcotic pills from stores,
for we are the truth itself.
And accept my sincere apology,
for I have spoken truth about your friend, the illusion ,
right before your eyes.
