Poetry Is As Pure As Ganga
Since poetry has been the language of the soul
It's as pure as an utterance of truth taken as a part or whole
It's so pure as the rain drops from the heaven
Or as an offering to the Lord when in utter devotion given
A pen is much powerful and runs through every thick and thin
Since a poet has'en very straight forward so his mind is not ever mean
His voice can lead to an uprising when corrupt is the king
His tongue is venomous then like that of the scorpion sting
Often it seems so gentle like the drops of Autumn dew
Or flows gently like a rill or shines like a rainbow with radiant hue
Often it's so innocent and drops tears seeing the society in sorrow
Or smiles with children when they smile in the good morrow
The tongue of poetry may oft be uncouth but has a perennial flow
Like the eternal Ganga it's ever pure for all- poor or rich, big or low.
